For many families, Dahl is considered an absolute family staple. Considered “comfort food” for its rich flavour, Dahl is essentially lentil stew spiced with turmeric, cumin, and coriander. Slow-cooking is one of our favourite methods to get all the flavour from our meals, and this one makes sure the lentils take on the familiar “Chana Dahl” flavour profile. The lentils take on a soupy texture while the turmeric shines through to give our Chana Dal is distinctly golden hue. As always our Chana Dahl is served with a bed of basmati rice that has lemon added for a delicious aromatic effect!
